Is Christianity being Trumped by Media

Vander Lught, Dan "Should Christians Exclude Media." October 11, 2009. www.rbc.org

Summery:

The question that was asked was: Given the bad influence of the mass media in modern culture, wouldn't it be best for Christians to exclude it from their lives? They compared getting rid of the media to am Amish man on his carriage in the middle of the night. Vander Lught said that the Amish don't realize how dangerous automobiles are to them. He says that just because TV is not as censored as it once was does not meant that we need to get rid of it. He compared it to modern technology, he said there is both good and bad that can come from it.

Response:

I partly agree with this article it has good points and it has bad points. My favorite point that was made was about how medicine and automobiles there are both good and bad things that can come from them. I think that we should not completely shut out media from our life because I think that t connects us to the world. However, I believe that we have to govern ourselves on what we do and do not see. We have to have the ability to say yes or no.
